A serious illness can have a huge impact on more than just your health – it can also hurt your finances. Critical illness insurance complements your major medical coverage by providing a lump-sum benefit if you are diagnosed with a covered critical illness, such as:
- Heart attack (myocardial infarction)
- End stage renal failure
- Coronary artery bypass surgery
- Stroke
- Major organ transplant
*You must elect coverage for yourself if you elect coverage for a spouse or child(ren).

You have the option to purchase Hospital Indemnity insurance, which provides a fixed, lump-sum cash benefit in the event you are admitted to or confined to a hospital. The funds are sent directly to you to help offset the unexpected medical expenses caused by hospital admission and stays.
*If more than one type of Hospital Admission occurs during the same confinement, only the highest Hospital Admission benefit is payable.
